Partners

A total of 7 partners are involved in the SUSHI project: Cyprus Energy Agency is responsible for Nicosia, in Cyprus; CMCC for Sassari, in Italy; e-Zavod for Ptuj, Slovenia; FCT-NOVA and Lisboa E-Nova for the district of Alfama, in Lisbon Portugal; IRE Liguria for Savona, Italy; and Paragon Europe for Valetta, in Malta.

The Cyprus Energy Agency [CEA] is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization, founded in 2009 for carrying out activities related to the promotion of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable transport. The mission of the Energy Agency is to be an information point of the local society, providing education and vocational training, as well as a point of promoting local and European partnerships and research and development.


The CMCC Foundation, established in 2005, aims to investigate and model our climate system and its interactions with society to provide reliable, rigorous, and timely scientific results to stimulate sustainable growth, protect the environment and develop science-driven adaptation and mitigation policies in a changing climate, and to develop foresight and quantitative analysis of our future planet and society. In the framework of the SUSHI Project, the “Impacts on Agriculture, Forests and Ecosystem Services” Division located in Sassari is involved.


E-Zavod is a non-profit development organisation, based in Ptuj, Slovenia. The scope of E-Zavod activities is focused on supporting the sustainable development with implementation of innovative R&D projects from the fields of innovation, economy, ecology, energy, ICT, rural development and social equity. E-Zavod contributes to successful implementation of national strategies; therefore the efforts are oriented to European integration and  realization  of  quality  projects,  supported  with  funds  or  policies  from  European  Union.  


FCT NOVA is a portuguese faculty of NOVA University of Lisbon located on the Caparica Campus, near Lisbon. The School operates with great autonomy and awards degrees in several engineering and natural sciences specializations. CENSE – Centre for Environmental and Sustainability Research, is a research center of the FCT NOVA, which promotes interdisciplinary research in environmental sciences and engineering, focusing on the interaction between human and ecological systems, to promote sustainable development. 


IRE is the regional agency for Infrastructures, urban Renovation and Energy of Liguria, in North West Italy. Its activities include feasibility studies, tendering procedures, public works management, design of new infrastructures (roads, bridges, river banks, etc.), energy planning support to public entities (region and municipalities), implementation of energy innovation projects, smart city planning support, elaboration and management of urban regeneration projects, social housing retrofitting, support to regional policy making and in the management of ERDF related calls, EU funds research. IRE can count on over 40 highly skilled employees with technical experience in design and planning, public procurement, project management, communication, training and EU projects.


Lisboa E-Nova – Energy and Environment Agency of Lisbon is a private non-profit association whose purpose is to promote the sustainable development of Lisbon and its metropolitan area. Lisboa E-Nova is working towards achieving a low carbon city and one that is less vulnerable to the effects of the future climate. A city that is an example to follow on the path to decarbonization, while focusing on the welfare of the citizen and future generations. Lisboa E-Nova is a key player in the city in the pursuit of national and international energy and climate goals for 2030 and 2050.
